She works as a Legal Associate based in the firm's Amsterdam office, where she supports counsel and associates on matters involving EU, UK, and US sanctions and export control law. In addition to her educational background on International Trade Law, Melina brings a strong background in competition law, corporate law, and public regulatory matters.
She previously served in the International Cartels division of Brazil's competition authority (CADE), where she gained experience across the public procurement, media, and technology sectors. She also worked as a Law Clerk to a law firm based in Washington, D.C. (U.S.), handling cases on corporate law, AML compliance, arbitration, and cross-border litigation. Earlier roles in Brazilian law firms strengthened her experience in tax, energy, customs, regulatory law, and M&A due diligence. Outside her legal practice, Melina is the founder of an NGO combating period poverty in Brazil and volunteers in a network to connect women working with International Trade, combining legal expertise with social-impact commitment.
